I also appreciated learning about the background to the compositions. Looking forward to the next concert. Regards Ken Webber

The Vaughan Williams Mass in particular was stunning. You have such a range of talented soloists who sang from the heart. Best wishes Mike and Pauline

With thanks,
Stephen Halliday

The programme was interesting, varied and innovative. the musical content was of a very high standard and Christine Gwynn's explanations between each piece were very helpful. I also enjoyed the opportunity for audience participation'. It is clear that a lot of hard work went into putting on this production by the singers, the musicians and the conductor/ musical director. Thank you Regards Ken Webber

The superb singing was beautifully complemented by the saxophone improvisations and the introductions to each piece made it all fit convincingly together. As the choir moved flawlessly around the church, the constant variation kept my interest throughout. A great evening's entertainment in a beautiful venue!

Most of the pieces were unfamiliar to me and I was grateful for the introductions to each piece by the conductor. Her style was warm and informal and drew the audience in so that when we were invited to participate in the Bach/Gounod piece, it seemed the most natural thing to join in. I felt that I was in the presence of musicians who really love what they do and wanted to share it with us. It was wonderful to relax into the beautiful singing and playing in such a lovely local setting and not have a stressful tube/train journey at the end to shatter the peaceful mood I had settled in to. It was my first Writtle Singers concert and I will certainly be going to more. Thanks once again.
