Message: What a triumph "Mixed Doubles" was. The choir just goes from strength to strength. A super programme of music, through which we were skilfully led by Christine's interesting and informative links, which gave it a lovely cohesive quality.Thank you so much for a most enjoyable evening.

Message: I'm just thinking of the wonderful time I had singing with you guys and all the brilliant training from Christine. Not to mention drinks and snacks in the pub afterwards. Hello from New Zealand, my home for the last eight years. Still singing, still loving it.

Message: How very much I enjoyed the Radiance concert last Saturday. A wonderful programme, beautifully realised and skillfully linked by Christine's apt and erudite comments. From the beautiful O Lux Beatus, which set my spine tingling through MacMillan's Missa Brevis and Rutter's Blessing - two parsonal favourites - to the concluding Lollipops, it was a real musical cornucopia. Have fun in Zurich... The Swiss will be soooooooooooo impressed.

Message: Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed the concert last night. A challenging programme for the Singers, but you rose to it magnificently. A beautiful and atmospheric sound from start to finish, complemented by excellent instrumentalists and lovely solo singing from Ally and Oliver. I was sorry I couldn't be up there with you - but knew I wouldn't have had the time to put in all the extra homework!! Well done, hope to see you soon xx

Message: The Purcell and Vaughan Williams concert on 11th July was wonderful in both the choice of music and the ensemble and solo singing. I also appreciated learning about the background to the compositions. Looking forward to the next concert. Regards Ken Webber

The Vaughan Williams Mass in particular was stunning. You have such a range of talented soloists who sang from the heart.
Best wishes

Message: I enjoyed this afternoon's concert, at Caius, very much. Could you tell me where you got the music for the encore (Marriage of Figaro overture)? It might be suitable for a choir to which I belong.

With thanks,

Stephen Halliday

Message: I very much enjoyed the Writtle Singers' concert on 8th Nov. 2008. The programme was interesting, varied and innovative. the musical content was of a very high standard and Christine Gwynn's explanations between each piece were very helpful. I also enjoyed the opportunity for audience participation'.
It is clear that a lot of hard work went into putting on this production by the singers, the musicians and the conductor/ musical director.
Thank you
Regards
Ken Webber

Message: The 'Transformations' concert was a delight. The superb singing was beautifully complemented by the saxophone improvisations and the introductions to each piece made it all fit convincingly together. As the choir moved flawlessly around the church, the constant variation kept my interest throughout. A great evening's entertainment in a beautiful venue!

Message: Thank you so much for a wonderful evening of singing and playing in Transformations on Saturday 8th November. Most of the pieces were unfamiliar to me and I was grateful for the introductions to each piece by the conductor. Her style was warm and informal and drew the audience in so that when we were invited to participate in the Bach/Gounod piece, it seemed the most natural thing to join in. I felt that I was in the presence of musicians who really love what they do and wanted to share it with us. It was wonderful to relax into the beautiful singing and playing in such a lovely local setting and not have a stressful tube/train journey at the end to shatter the peaceful mood I had settled in to. It was my first Writtle Singers concert and I will certainly be going to more. Thanks once again.
